At The Dukes, you can enjoy exclusive use of a beautiful traditional thatched pub with accommodation for up to 8 family and friends, 20 diners and space for 50 guests to celebrate together. This is a bespoke package designed for those who want something personal, relaxed and unforgettable without the expense of a large venue.
Day 1 - Arrive & Settle In
Arrive at The Dukes and settle into the cosy stables accommodation with your closest family, friends or wedding party. Spend the evening rehearsing or just sharing drinks together in your own private pub.
Day 2 - Your Special Day
Spend your morning relaxing over breakfast or take a stroll to one of the country parks that are within walking distance of The Dukes before getting ready. *Exchange vows either in the outdoor pavilion or inside the pub with a blessing for up to 20 of your favourite people with your dedicated master of ceremonies leading the way.
After the blessing, enjoy a glass of fizz and canapés before sitting together all on one long table to share a **traditional English feast with wine, followed by saying a few words (if you like) and the cutting of your cake which we will serve with coffee in the lounge.
As evening falls, the pub is transformed into your private celebration space where 50 guests can enjoy a £500 bar allowance for drinks of your choice. Start the party with a dance to get your guests on the floor and graze from a buffet table of light evening snacks.
Day 3 - A Relaxed Farewell
Wake up slowly and enjoy breakfast together before saying goodbye and heading home.
*Please note ceremonies are not legal. The church in Heath & Reach is a 5-10 minute walk away or Old Linslade church a short drive away. The nearest registry offices are Ampthill and Dunstable.

Accommodation
The Stables provides accommodation for up to 8 guests. There are 2 pubs with in walking distance of The Dukes that can provide accomodatoin for an additional 42 guests. The Axe and Compass (2mins walk) has 8 bedrooms sleeps 14 and The Heath Inn (10 mins walk) has 16 bedrooms, sleeps 28. Additional guests are welcome to stay in campervans at The Dukes, making it possible for more of your friends and family to stay overnight and enjoy the full stay together.
Decorations
Bring any decorations you would like or choose from our in-house selection. We have a selection of chair bows, flowers and ceiling canopies can be added. Pictured was a halloween themed event.

You choose your own set up at The Dukes. We can provide disco lighting, a live singer or band, DJ services, in-house sound system takeover and karaoke.
Party Until Late
The Dukes is licensed until 11pm, we can apply to extend this license for an additional cost of £100. Please allow a minimum of 1 month notice
